Around the North Shore of Lake Superior (by Thunder Bay)
This blue daisy was spotted on the deck of Karen’s Kountry Kitchen, on the Sleeping Giant peninsula.
Watching the tiny bugs that sit on the surface of the water- part of a stream feeding into Lake Superior.
This is just half of the impressive waterfall- it continues past the left side of the photo. It reminds me of Niagara Falls, because that’s the only other waterfall I have seen that is both high and wide!
There were some very small delicate looking wildflowers growing on the rock surrounding Kakabeka Falls.
The other photos are all from my 8/08 trip, but here’s a shot of frozen Kakabeka from one of our previous trips…the waterfall was about 80% frozen, but a fair amount of water still poured through.
